About Me
Here I am (and my cute hubby). We live in Portland, Oregon and love it. We moved here July 2010 and have met some amazing people! This is going to be a great place to raise our family. We will be in our first home by the end of January 2011 and can't wait for that constant adventure. Life has been good to us.
I didn't always sew. I had help doing a couple tie quilts and then it took off with my Superman Apron I made for Halloween 2008. I have the sewing bug. Who doesn't love fabric! My husband thinks I'm weird because I can spend hours looking at just fabric online; his number one place he dislikes to shop with me...JoAnns. Really, it's just because I don't have very good reckoning of time. I think I'm going fast, but it's really been 45 minutes. I'm good with directions and dates, but time is not my strong-point.
I also love to cook and bake. My Dad instilled the love of the kitchen in me from an early age. Making good food for good friends is the best. I love a full house, lots of talking and laughing, children running in and out of adults legs, and food being quickly consumed. One of my perfect nights. My husband waits to see the look on my face that says, "I love this." He always smirks back with the, "I know you do." Good man.
I have two little munchkins and one-on-the-way who keep me quite busy. We are adventuresome during the day: star wars, legos, bionicles, princesses, sand toys, fruit snacks, pink milk, and "Charlie and Lola." There is never a dull moment. They thought it was really funny that I hugged my sewing machine when it came back from the shop. They know my hobby. I think it's really important to show your kids that you have your own creative outlet.
I was crafting away and my hubby said, why don't you start a blog...what? No. I don't do that. Here I am. He just reminded me of that conversation. Honestly, I don't remember it. {maybe he's making it up to make a good story} But I love this adventure with everyone. I am inspired every day and hope to inspire others every day. Today is the day to be something new.
